Happy Easter! Sure, to most people this means nothing beyond pastel-colored candies and bunny ears, but who cares. I bought egg shaped Crunch candy. I almost bought Peeps until I convinced myself that a box of sugar cannot be good for anyone. And then I enjoyed bubble gum from an egg I found at an egg hunt.
I finally have internet at home. Soooo, maybe that means blogging time? Yes?
For now, tataaa...because I definitely ate too many sweets in one afternoon and kinda feel a tad nauseated. Besides, it's time to catch up on this season's America's Next Top Model. Tyra teaches a girl how to squint with her eyes open. Intense y'all.

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it
Obviously, I'm glued in front of the TV keeping watch on the voting counts at CNN. All this night needs is some ice cream or Doritos or Mallomars. Watching the ins and outs and twists and turns of politics freaking excites me. I remember staying up until 4 AM election night when it was Bush vs. Gore and I wanted to yell NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO when they called it for Bush, then Gore, then Bush, then Gore, then... Nevermind that I wasn't able to vote yet at the time. And that I had school in a few hours.
When my coworker said she was looking forward to going home to watch CNN on Super Tuesday, I wanted to say "OMGOSH, me too!" but I'm not gonna be that dorky.
Yeah, my life is that interesting.
Update: As of 10:30 PM the percentage pie chart for Texas is almost 50/50 for Clinton and Obama. Am I the only one who thinks that's ridiculously fascinating?

I'm a woman, hear me roar...
March is Women's History Month, so I'd like to share some inspiring words from an inspiring woman...

I feel like a dotcom douchebag
I know that the last post I made (and it was a horrible excuse for a post) was in December and I have a lot of catching up to do. I have lots of excuses, but I don't want to make any, so as uninspired as I am right now (I have no caffeine in my system yet even though it's 1 PM), here are a few updates:
- I'm officially done with school and I'm waiting for my diploma to arrive by FedEx this week.
- I filed (well actually my mom did for me) taxes for the first time ever.
- My internship position, where I had been since last May, was eliminated because of financial issues. Having your bosses tell you that your last day is in X number of days sucks. I've never had to leave a job before, so a part of me was really devastated. Friday was my last day and I'll miss it oh so much because I was part of a dynamic team.
- BUT! my amazing bosses helped me find another paid internship, at a publication that I believe fits me. (It was a little nervewracking to walk into an interview and find out that you'll be talking to the Editor in Chief before talking to the Site Director. Talk about pressure. But they were friendly so phew!) I start tomorrow!
- And I have a lot of other things to look forward to, including, but definitely not limited to: attending graduation in May, going on a cruise with the fam, and a vacation with the chicas.
